Our Foundation

The Mon Valley Community Foundation (MVCF) is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 corporation organized to support Mon Yough Area Chamber of Commerce initiatives fostering:

​

(1) educational scholarship and youth vocational opportunities for our communities, and

(2) economic development

The Mon Valley Community Foundation is requesting a tax deductible donation to support students from the Mon Valley to further their education after high school. These students, who have completed a needs based and academic merit application, historically use this scholarship to augment higher education or entry into vocational educational programs.

Our Scholarship program invites applicants from the following nine school districts in the Mon Yough Valley:

• Elizabeth Forward
  
• McKeesport Area
  
• South Allegheny
  
• Steel Valley
  
• West Jefferson Hills
  
• West Mifflin Area
  
• Woodlands Hills

MVCF has awarded 15 scholarships over the past 5 years and with our new mission of solely focusing on the educational needs of our local students, we know that these scholarships fill an important role in furthering the scholastic efforts of these deserving students. Your contribution will aid these scholars in their quest for higher education.
